The first thing that came to mind when I read that the Martin Jetpack was available for purchase: Awesome. I was immediately filled with ideas of all the awesome ways to enter or exit a social situation by using a jetpack.  On a bad date, you fake a phone call and say that you need to stop a rogue asteroid, as the last image she sees is of you flying away into the sky.  You better believe she’ll be telling all her friends about you. Or imagine the buzz that you’d make at the next company picnic when you touch down in front of the lame jazz band and scream “Who has two thumbs and is ready for team building? This guy!” I’m thinking that it will be important to get on this trend early before all the crazy rules and and regulations set in. I’m sure within 6 months of mass production you’ll have to go to jetpack school, get a jetpack license, and places will need to start having personal landing pads. The possibilities are seriously endless for anyone who has $86,000 to spend. I’m already looking around my house for things to sell.
